In the morning, depart for the most characteristic tour of the city of Bariloche: The Circuito Chico. The journey begins from Bariloche on Av. Bustillo, bordering Lake Nahuel Huapi. At km 8, you’ll find Playa Bonita, from where you can see Isla Huemul. 10 km later, after crossing various landscapes, you arrive at the foot of Cerro Campanario.
From the base, a chairlift ascends to visitors at 1500 m above sea level. At the summit, there is a café and a terrace that offers one of the most complete and beautiful views of the surroundings: The lakes Nahuel Huapi and Perito Moreno, Laguna El Trébol, Llao Llao and San Pedro peninsulas, Isla Victoria, and the mountains Otto, López, Goye, Cathedral, and the city of San Carlos de Bariloche.
Continuing the tour, you enter the Villa de Llao Llao, where you will find the San Eduardo Chapel, a gem of regional architecture, and the magnificent Llao Llao hotel, a true symbol of the place, designed by the great architect Alejandro Bustillo, inaugurated in 1939. On the lake, you will observe the important and picturesque Puerto Pañuelo.
After skirting Lake Escondido, the road crosses the bridge over the Angostura creek, the junction of Lakes Moreno and Nahuel Huapi. Passing by Bahía López, at the foot of the homonymous mountain, you arrive at the panoramic viewpoint at km 40, 945 m above sea level, where you can appreciate the majesty of the landscape formed by Lake Moreno and the Llao Llao peninsula.
Skirting Lake Moreno, you reach the bridge that allows you to cross this lake, then touring the shore of Laguna El Trébol, and at km 45 connecting back with the initial route to return to Bariloche.
