The Glacier is an immense white river with bluish tones, declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1982. From the Glacier National Park we will enter the different walkways that are arranged on three levels, from which we will be able to observe spectacular panoramic views of the glacier contemplating the periodic landslides on its front.
In the National Park you will have the option of sailing (OPTIONAL NOT INCLUDED) to appreciate the ice floes coming from the Perito Moreno Glacier from a boat in front of the glacier wall at a distance of approximately 500m, with the possibility of observing the detachment of the glacier front 60 to 70 m high.
Finishing the visit of the national park, return to the Hotel. Accommodation.
DAY 05 - EL CALAFATE
Breakfast. At the time agreed upon with the guide, a full-day excursion will take place: Todo Glaciares, with entrance to the park included.
From the Port of Punta Bandera, located 47 km from El Calafate, we begin navigation along the North Arm of Lake Argentino. A few minutes after leaving, we crossed a natural funnel known as the Devil's Mouth towards the Upsala Canal. There we will navigate around large ice floes that break off from the front of the Upsala Glacier.
Then, we enter the sector of the lake known as Canal Spegazzini and where we can enjoy observing the impressive Seco Glacier. From there we continue sailing to the front of the Spegazzini Glacier where we will also contemplate the Heim Sur and Peineta glaciers.
It is at this time that we prepare to disembark at the Spegazzini base and begin the visit to the area walking through a beautiful path in the forest, until we reach the Spegazzini Refuge.
This 300-meter path is accessible and as we walk along it we stop at stations and viewpoints with views of the entire Los Glaciares Bay.
In this refuge, the only one of its kind, we can have lunch, visit the shop or contemplate the landscape.
Those who like to walk can choose to take the mountain path. This tour is a trekking of medium difficulty through a forested path with natural viewpoints and full of incredible views. It ends at the disembarkation point.
At the end of the excursion, return to the hotel. Accommodation.
