Full board included: In the morning, we’ll arrive in Worms, the ancient capital of the Germanic peoples, renowned for its Romanesque architecture. The highlight of our visit is the 11th-century St. Peter’s Cathedral, a masterpiece of High Romanesque style with its four towers and twin domes. Alongside the cathedrals of Speyer and Mainz, it stands as one of the greatest achievements of this architectural period. Worms is also a popular starting point for the Deutsche Weinstrasse, a 50-mile route through charming wine-producing towns.In the afternoon, we’ll anchor in Rüdesheim, one of Germany’s most visited villages. Its historical landmarks, such as Klunkhardshof, the fortified Adler Tower, the millennial Brömser Castle, and the ruins of Ehrenfels Castle, are perfect for discovering the town’s rich history.
