Częstochowa Poland

"Częstochowa is a city in southern Poland on the Warta River. It has been situated in the Silesian Voivodeship and was previously the capital of the Częstochowa Voivodeship. However, Częstochowa is historically part of Lesser Poland, not of Silesia. Częstochowa is located in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland; It is 13th most populous city in Poland. It is the largest economic, cultural and administrative hub in the northern part of the Silesian Voivodeship. Currently the city is one of the main tourist attractions of the area and is sometimes called the little Nuremberg because of the number of souvenir shops. The Black Madonna of Częstochowa, housed at the Jasna Góra Monastery, is a particularly popular attraction. Throughout the centuries, many buildings have been erected, most of them now have status of tourist attractions and historical monuments since Częstochowa was established already in the Middle Ages. Among those attractions are old townhouses and the urban core of the city centre."
