Ban Phe Thailand

Ban Phe has been a small town with its own local authority since 1999. Ban Phe is made up of 23 municipalities and 7 villages. Ban Phe has a playschool, 3 primary schools and a secondary school. The city councillor is Mr. Phairat Arunwetsaset. The people here mainly make their living from fishing, trading and working in one of the eight fish processing factories. Tourism has become increasingly important over the past few years and more and more foreigners are settling here. Ban Phe is the main starting point for trips to Ko Samet Island. Dried fish, dried crabs and the crab paste and fish sauce that are especially popular here are sold along the waterfront. Ban Phe Beach is 8 kilometers long. The nearby Park Suan Son is a popular spot for picnics in shady corners. The Rayong Aquarium is located on the outskirts of Ban Phe.
