Logroño Spain

Logroño is a city on the Ebro River. It's the capital of the autonomous community and province of La Rioja. Logroño is a city steeped in history and traditions that have been preserved since the Middle Ages. The Pilgrim's Route to Santiago de Compostela made this one of the most significant towns on the route, leaving an interesting monumental legacy closely tied to the traditional passing of the pilgrims. Logroño, and La Rioja, are famous for their excellent wine. The Museum of the Culture of Wine is a lovely place to visit if you're in Logroño. Logroño has two important festivals: the festival of San Bernabé (the patron saint of the city) and especially the festival of San Mateo (the grape harvest festival).
