Lanzarote & Fuerteventura by ferry

About the destination: Playa Blanca is situated in the south of Lanzarote and in recent years has established itself as the third major tourist spot on the island. Recognised multiple times for its cleanliness, this pleasant and tranquil area is perfect for family relaxation. Playa Blanca boasts a diverse range of hotels and a thriving service industry: bars, restaurants, shops... and one of the best marinas in Lanzarote. The beaches of Papagayo, with their white sand and crystal clear water nestled among the cliffs, are located nearby. On the promenade of Playa Blanca, on the outskirts of the old town, you'll find all sorts of restaurants, shops and bars, as well as on the streets running parallel to the promenade. Another area worth visiting is the marina, teeming with high-quality services and recently constructed. In this area, you'll also find a new shopping centre for all your shopping needs. In terms of beaches, the popular Playa Dorada and Playa Flamingo, with their fine white sand and proximity to the main hotels in the area, are worth a mention. However, the beaches of Papagayo are undoubtedly the standout. A collection of coves with fine white sand that will delight visitors. They can be reached on foot or by bike, but the distance is considerable, so it's recommended to drive to these coves (a "toll" per car will be required as it's a nature reserve). Just a few minutes from Playa Blanca, you'll find some of the island's most iconic locations, such as Timanfaya National Park, La Geria, Salinas de Janubio, El Golfo (the green lagoon), Los Hervideros or the charming village of Yaiza. You can also visit the town of Las Breñas, from where you'll have a breathtaking view of Playa Blanca and Fuerteventura in the distance. From Playa Blanca, you can also take a boat to explore the nearby island of Fuerteventura, with a journey time of about 25/35 minutes depending on the ferry you choose. The vast beaches of Corralejo with their white dunes and crystal clear water make a visit to Fuerteventura well worth it.
