About the destination: El Calafate is a small and charming town lost in the vastness of the Patagonian steppe, it's the main gateway to the magnificent Glaciers Park, a stunning landscape of icy waters, snow-capped mountains and windswept heathlands, of breathtaking glaciers and silent moss-covered woods. Nestled on the edge of a massive lake, the town serves as a tourist base for the Parque Nacional Los Glaciares. The town, encircled by the beautiful Lago Argentino and snow-capped mountain scenery, is brimming with quaint tourist shops and restaurants that line the main street. Perito Moreno Glacier, 80km away from the town, is a spectacular must-see. It's considered one of the world’s most awe-inspiring glaciers. El Calafate as a town might not have much to offer, but it's the gateway to a magical enchanting spectacle which you just can't stop admiring.

About the destination: Torres del Paine National Park is a national park that includes mountains, glaciers, lakes, and rivers in the southern part of Patagonia in Chile. The Cordillera del Paine is the main feature of the park. It's located in a transition area between the Magellanic subpolar forests and the Patagonian Steppes. The park is situated 112 km (70 mi) north of Puerto Natales and 312 km (194 mi) north of Punta Arenas. The park borders Bernardo O'Higgins National Park to the west and the Los Glaciares National Park to the north in Argentine territory. Paine means "blue" in the native Tehuelche (Aonikenk) language and is pronounced PIE-nay, while Torres means "towers". Torres del Paine National Park is part of the Sistema Nacional de Áreas Silvestres Protegidas del Estado de Chile (National System of Protected Forested Areas of Chile). In 2013, it measured approximately 181,414 hectares. It's one of the largest and most visited parks in Chile. The park averages around 252,000 visitors a year, of which 54% are foreign tourists, who come from many countries all over the world. It's also part of the End of the World Route, a tourist scenic route. The park is one of the 11 protected areas of the Magallanes Region and Chilean Antarctica (along with four national parks, three national reserves, and three national monuments). Together, the protected forested areas make up about 51% of the land of the region (6,728,744 hectares). The Torres del Paine are the distinctive three granite peaks of the Paine mountain range or Paine Massif. From left to right they are known as Torres d'Agostini, Torres Central and Torres Monzino. They rise up to 2,500 metres (8,200 ft) above sea level, and are joined by the Cuernos del Paine. The area also boasts valleys, rivers such as the Paine, lakes, and glaciers. The well-known lakes include Grey, Pehoé, Nordenskiöld, and Sarmiento. The glaciers, including Grey, Pingo and Tyndall, belong to the Southern Patagonia Ice Field.

About the destination: Ushuaia, which overlooks the emerald waters of the Beagle Channel, claims to be the southernmost city in the world and is the largest city in Argentine Tierra del Fuego. The beautiful town is nestled between the freezing waters of the Bay of Ushuaia and the snow-clad peaks behind. The snow-capped mountains are in view almost everywhere you look. Ushuaia is a good base from where to explore the surrounding beautiful scenery but there is also plenty to see in town. Parallel to the shoreline, Avenida San Martin is the main commercial street of the town and where everything is happening. It is a popular place for strolling, the street is lined with shops, cafes and restaurants. In the centre of Ushuaia you can see some interesting old houses built in the old colonial style, as well as the interesting Museo Del Fin Del Mundo, located in the Old House of Government. This museum presents the history of Ushuaia and Tierra del Fuego including the history of the indigenous tribes that once inhabited this land. El Presidio is another popular attraction. The former prison of Ushuaia has been turned into a museum and an art gallery. Main attractions in Ushuaia are, however, on the dazzling outdoors, such as the Isla los Lobos, the penguin rookeries or the famous Martial glacier. Ushuaia is the gateway to Antarctica and the Tierra del Fuego National Park. It is a great place to view wildlife including penguins, dolphins, orcas, seals and a wide variety of birds. Ushuaia is where the world ends or where it starts.

About the destination: The city of Puerto Madryn is situated in the eastern region of the Province of Chubut on the Atlantic coast in the Patagonia region of Argentina. It's regarded as one of the top spots in the world for observing marine animals in their natural environment. Puerto Madryn is the starting point for most tourists who come to visit two stunning Nature Reserves. These are Peninsula Valdes and Punta Tombo. Both are unique wildlife sanctuaries. Here you can see penguins, a large number of sea lions, elephant seals, dolphins, a wide variety of birds and whales. Whale watching is a very popular activity and draws in tourists in droves. The UNESCO has declared the Peninsula a Natural World Heritage site. The clean waters, the untouched nature, the wild Patagonia environment, and the idyllic solitude of a vast desert act like a magnet for nature enthusiasts. But don't worry, there are plenty of delicious restaurants and excellent shopping in town, as well as beautiful sandy beaches.
