Rouen France

Rouen is the capital of the French region of Upper Normandy and is located on the River Seine, about a 90-minute drive northwest from the heart of Paris. The city has a population of 110,000, and its metropolitan area encompasses around 520,000 residents. It is the place where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake, but the primary reason for visiting is its magnificent cathedral that inspired Monet to create over 30 paintings. Rouen was the residence of the writer, Gustave Flaubert. The most significant places to visit in Rouen are: Rouen Cathedral, a breathtaking structure that dates back to the 4th Century and is a fantastic blend of various architectural styles, the birthplace of author Gustave Flaubert, which has been transformed into a museum dedicated to his life, and the Big Clock, situated in the center of the rue du Gros Horloge.
