About the destination: With an almost Northern European ambiance, yet radiating Italian style, Milan is Italy's most cosmopolitan city. This capital of Lombardy is both industrious and glamorous - a powerhouse in sectors ranging from finance to fashion, and of course, football. However, what sets Milan apart is its standing as the hub of Italian fashion and interior design. International fashion enthusiasts, designers, supermodels, and paparazzi flock to the city biannually for its spring and fall fairs: Milan, which has meticulously maintained its reputation for flair, drama, and creativity, is Italy's natural stage. Undoubtedly, it's one of the best places in Italy for shopping, or even just window shopping. As Italy's primary industrial, commercial, and financial center, Milan unsurprisingly has a business-like demeanor. At first glance, it may not seem impressive, but if you take the time and make an effort to explore Milan’s streets, you’ll discover its aesthetically pleasing treasures – they do exist. Navigate through the modern metropolitan hustle, and you'll find impressive churches and palaces, the charming Navigli area, the trendy Brera district and vibrant university quarter, not to mention a landmark like the Duomo, or the fact that the city proudly houses Leonardo da Vinci's 15th-century masterpiece, The Last Supper. Milan leaves no room for criticism when it comes to having a good time. The Milanese know how to celebrate – and they don’t waste time getting started. Nightlife usually begins at 6pm; enjoying an aperitivo, where locals relax with after-work drinks and snacks before heading home, is more the norm than the exception. So, whether you’re in search of affordable fashion, an alternative city getaway, or an opportunity to paint the town red, Milan undoubtedly has it all.

About the destination: The Province of Monza and Brianza is an administrative province in the Lombardy region of Italy. This province was officially established by separating the northeastern part from the province of Milan on May 12, 2004, and it became operational after the provincial elections on June 6 and 7, 2009. As of 2017, the province had a population of 871,735, spread across 55 municipalities. With an area of 405 square kilometers (156 square miles), it is one of the smallest provincial territories in Italy. Despite its small size, it has a population of approximately 0.9 million, resulting in a population density of over 2,000 people per square kilometer due to its heavily urbanized territory, which is part of the Milan urban area. The capital and largest municipality of the province is Monza, with a population of 123,776 as of 2017, located just 15 kilometers (9 miles) from Milan. Other large municipalities include Seregno, Desio, Limbiate, Lissone, Vimercate, Cesano Maderno, and Brugherio. The province is bordered by the provinces of Lecco and Como to the north, Varese to the west, Bergamo to the east, and the Metropolitan City of Milan to the southeast.

About the destination: Lecco is a city in Lombardy, northern Italy, north of Milan, the capital of the province of Lecco. It lies at the end of the south-eastern branch of Lake Como. The Bergamo Alps rise to the north and east. The lake narrows to form the river Adda, so bridges were built to improve road communications with Como and Milan. There are four bridges crossing the river Adda in Lecco: the Azzone Visconti Bridge (1336–1338), the Kennedy Bridge (1956) and the Alessandro Manzoni Bridge (1985) and a railroad bridge. The Province of Lecco is composed of ancient villages and landscapes. The Lariana Abbey, in addition to its grassy shores, is the location for the engrossing Silk Museum. The Church of San Giorgio in Mandello del Lario is outstanding and represents a remarkable art gallery from Medieval times. The Guzzi Moto Museum in Mandello recounts the history of this locally-manufactured motor bike. The Abbey is an obligatory stop, along with the Fuentes and Montecchio Forts that evidence the great military strategic importance of the area.
