About the destination: Mallorca is recognized as an easily accessible haven for lovers of sun-soaked beaches, stunning landscapes, magnificent mountains, and reasonably priced Mediterranean cuisine. The island boasts a coastline that spans over 550 km. During peak season, it welcomes approximately 8 million tourists from all corners of the globe. This influx of visitors is both a boon and a bane for the locals, but they are well-equipped to handle it, offering a highly efficient tourist infrastructure. However, Mallorca has more to offer when you venture away from the coastline and explore the inland areas. Prices decrease with every kilometer you travel away from the coast, eventually aligning with the typical Spanish rates in the island's center or even some mountainous regions. Geographically, the island can be segmented into three parts. The Serra de Tramuntana rocks stretch from the south-west to the north-east, while the Serra de Llevant runs along the eastern coast. Nestled between these two areas is the central plain.

This makes it the fifth most populated urban area in the European Union, following Paris, the Ruhr area, Madrid, and Milan. Barcelona is one of the largest metropolises on the Mediterranean Sea, situated on the coast between the mouths of the Llobregat and Besòs rivers. It's bordered to the west by the Serra de Collserola mountain range, the highest peak of which is 512 meters (1,680 feet) tall.
