The province of Rimini, known as "provincia di Rimini" in Italian, is located in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. The city of Rimini, which is also the provincial capital, is the namesake of the province. The province shares its borders with the independent Republic of San Marino. As of 2019, the province spans an area of 864.88 square kilometers (333.93 square miles) and has a population of 339,437, resulting in a population density of 387.57 people per square kilometer. The urban area of Rimini, within the city limits, has a population of 147,578. The province is composed of 26 municipalities, known as "comuni" in Italian.
